Dear Wife
i haveing nothing else
to do i thought i would write a Line
or two i have not Been very well
for a day or two So i had to take
a dose of physic But i feell Some
Better to day there is another mail
due here to day i hope it will get
in for i want to here from home any
day we have the worst thunder
Storms out here that i ever See
they Shake the very earth i gesee that
[Saouh?] would Run down Seller here
i think that i Shall Send home
Some figs and Peaches if i Can get
them green if i do i want you to
Preserve them they make the Best
of Preserves John merrill will
Send home a Lot i had Some

Salt fish Cod or Pollock i dont

tell you that a Piece of Salt fish
would Be worth its wait in
gold if you do Send another Box
i want you to Put in a half a
Pound of Sulfer for that is one
of the Best things out for this
Climate But above all things Send
Babys Pitchure i Sent a Letter
to Mr wait the other day to
get Frank out and Enlist him
do you think he would Be willing
to Enlist i think it would Be
the Best thing in the world
for he Could Send his folks

while for Col kurtes is Provost
marshall and he makes a
good one he has Put a Stop to

it a movement has Been made
here Last night two or three
Regiments and Artilery went
on Board of Steamers Some Say
that they are going up to Kingston [2]
other to goldborow But we Shall
here in a day or to where
they have gone wel i hope
that this will find you and
the Children all well give
