My dear wife
i got a Letter from
you Last night and i was glad
to hear from you But i have not
got the Box yet and i feel Bad
about it i dont See why it will
Be to Bad to Lose it after Paying
out So much monny i want you
to Send out the Bil of the Box
in a Letter your Letter is dated
Nov 2 and dear wife did you know
that it is a year ago to day
Since we Left Lynfield it Seems
Longer and how manny have
Been killed and wounded in that
time But i thank god that i
have Been Spared and my family
So far we have had a Bad
Storm for a week But it is
Splendid wether now we

have had a Right Smart Feast
and the nights are Cool i
Should Like to Be with you
on thanksgiving i Suppose that
you will go out to dinner with
the general oh how i Should
Like to See him the darling So
Aunt and Hatty are Sorry
that i feel So towards Sumner
well i Cant help it i have
Seen enough of nigerism But i
Shant talk about that now
gen Foster has Been gone ten
days with five thousand men
Part of our Regiment went
i was Sick and didnot go
they got Back to day haveing
Lost But ten men why
dont they give Bill Merrills
and his wife a Pass over to
Jef davis they aint the
only one old Robinson
