Dear Cousin Mollie
I received your
kind and wellcom letter of
the 16th inst to day, and I
seat my self to day to
try and ratify your false
impression that you are un
der to wards me, I dont see
why you think that I am
offended, I dont see any
thing to be offended at
What makes you think
so: Dont you know me:
I think we are slitly aqui
ainted any how: Do you think
be caus that you got married
that it was any thing for
to make me offended or mad
I dont know what to think of it
[True?] I received a letter from
[page 2]
you but was waiting to
you would get back home
so I would know your adress
I heard that you was out
at Wood County but did
not know when you would
be at home,
Now Mary Jane my feeling
to ward you is just the
same as it always was
and it is not worth while
for to tell you a bout them
for I think you have
knowen me long enough to
find that all out I dont
think you ever heard me say
any thing in the objective
to you getting married for
you know I always encourage
ed you a bout that and you never
heard me say iny thing
against Henry for he is a
fellow that I never saw
any thing wrong about him
and I think he will
make you a good husband
[page 3]
and I hope I am write
right in my thoughts,
If you remain at at
home about tree weeks I
will see you and talk
this all over for I suspect
to be at home in a
couple of weeks but dont
depend on this for I cant
say for surtain,
I dont want you to
feel so sure about me for
getting you for I tell you
it is not so,
My helth is good and my
leg is improvering slowly,
Give my respects to all
Yours as ever
