I reseved your letter
of the 23th and was glad to
hear from you, I have reserved
thre letter from you and two
from Robert since I came
back but none from Margret
I am well and hope theas
lins may find you well. I
was to see John and ouncle
James and R Andre they a
pear to be very well contented
and like to soldier prety well.
I was at Louder’s old Co and seen
Gorge fleeger Wm Privs and the
rest of the boys thare we are
guarding the ralroad be tween
Culpaper and warinton Junc

we have not half the duty to
do that we had after I came
back for a while we was very
buisy and had to piket [post?]
near all the time it is thaut be
some we are going a way to
Tenn. but I thik not I
want you to send me word
when you write a gen how
Nancy is and all the rest
well I have no nuse to
write so I will close at
present hoping to hear
from you soon nothing
more but still reman
