Biography: 

Thomas Lacompte (b. ca. 1825) was a bricklayer from Philadelphia. At the time of the 1860 Census, Lacompte and his wife, Esther (b. ca. 1830), were parents of three daughters, Margaret (13), Adelaide (11), and Elizabeth (7). Thomas Lacompte mustered into Co. G, 26th Pennsylvania Infantry on May 28, 1861 and deserted on December 19, 1862.
