Dear Brother
I will write
a few liens to let you
Know that i received your
letter of the 20 to Day and
was Gald to hear from
home againe and was Glad
to hear that youens whare
all well i am well at
present time hoping when
this Comes to hand it
may finde youens all
the Same at home i
received 4 poste Stamps
Jeff whe Got payed of[f]
on the 24 whe Got
payed off for 4 month
it took 2 moneth pay to
pay my Clothing Bill yet

then i only Got 33 Dollars
and 5 cts then i hat
to pay our Suttler 9 Dollars
that i owd him for tobacco
and Som other things But
whe will Be payed off
next month againe for 2
month Bute you Kin
look in my next letter
for a little monny
much i Cante Send much
this time i must Keepe
a little i Cante write
much to Day for its
moste too late
