Camp Buehler Feb 23 1862

Dear Mother
We recieved your
letter it found us both
well and wher glad to
hear that Annie was
getting better there is [Rumors?]
going all the time among the
company about us leaving
here but we have no
orders to that effect
yet and not likeley
to get them i supose They
had a grand celebration
of Washingtons birth day
at gettysburg yesterday
we spent a glourorus day
three companys of our
regiment went to
Baltimore to a Milatary
Review Company A. K. and F.

thier was five or six
thousand soldiers on
Review we were reviewed
by Major General Dix
and Brigadier General
Deryea [1] the review was
in Broadway they
marched us around about
six hours it put in
mind of old times then
then we were presented
with the flag of our
regiment it was furnished
bi the state it is a
butiful silk flag then
we got something to eat
and where dismissed
for two hours to
run around the city
their has three regiments
of our brigade been

from Baltimore to some
fort it might be that
they would move us
but i dont think they
will i noticed in the
papers several times
that we were to leave
and the 101 regiment
was to take our place
if that is the case
our officers dont know
anything about
it we drawed new
close last week pants
1 shirt 1 pair of drawrs
2 pair of stocking 1 hat
with a feather in like
the blues wore at hom
when they drilled i
heard that critzman [2]
company expected to leave

this week did father
say anything about
it in his letters have
you rented yet or are
you going to stay thier
another year give our love
to all the family nothing
more your affesionate
son
