Dear Mother
I received
your Letter this morning and
was glad to hear from you
Jack has been sick for the
last week with fever and
sore through [1] he is a grate
deal better now and will
be a bout again in a few
days We ware paid off to
day and We will send
$40.00 to you you Can
lay 10. by for me with
the others the other $30.00
use as you see fit I am
in good health i had
a beald Jaw this week
but it has broke and
well again Tell Dan
i will answer his

Thare is nothing new
here Davis Fisher is in
Piedmont yet so i heard
to day from a young man
that seen him last night
i will gi[t] up thare as
soon as it cleares of[f] Cap
Adair is not in very good
health at present Our
sick is getting better
now no more at present
but i will write soon
again answer soon
