Charles A. Simmons (b. ca. 1843) was from Rensselaer County, New York. He mustered into service as a musician in Co. I, 30thNew York Infantry on May 12, 1861 at Troy, New York. He was killed in action at the Second Battle of Bull Run on August 30, 1862.
