Biography:
Chauncey (also spelled Chancy) Kelsey was from Otsego County, New York and served as a private in Co. C, 152nd New York Infantry. He enlisted on August 29, 1862 at which time his age was listed as 44. In the Federal Census of 1860 his age is listed as 52 and his occupation as farm laborer. Kelsey was killed in action at Boydton Plank Road, Virginia on October 28, 1864.
