My Very Dear & Affectionate April 3rd [?] 1862
Wife after waiting long to Receive a letter from
you & have almost lost hopes of Reciving a letter from
you again I feel it my duty to write occasionally
to you have wrote you many letters & only Recived
2 from you sence I have been a prisoner I hope you
will write to me often when you write to me address
me as a prisoner of war I have had several letters
from uncle Hoad Conler he is getting along very well
I am Enjoying good health it is my hearts desire &
Constant pray that I may continue to Enjoy gods
good Blessing we have some Very intersting
mailings now give my love to father and mother
Brothers & Sisters I hope to see you & the Children
Soon there is no [????] can tell how much I want to see
you & the Children and infact all my Relatives &
frends give my love to all my frends I often think
of the many plasurbl moments that I have
spent with my frends Espeshally while we were together
in gods Sanctuary I began intrest in the prays of
my frends I will bring you & the Children some thing
when I come home tell my frends to write to me if they
pleas it will gratify me much to get aletter from any of
