Biography: 

Josiah A. P. Campbell (b. SC 1830) was an Attala County, Mississippi lawyer and politician, and he represented the state at the Confederate constitutional convention. Later he was captain of Co. K, 40th Mississippi Infantry and eventually became Lt. Co. of the regiment. After the war he resumed his political career and served as Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court.
