Camp Harman near
Centervill August 18th 1861
Dear Sister Fannie
I recived
you letter yester eavenin
and was truly glad to heare
from you we are all well
exsept Add and Dan they have
been right sick Add has been
complainning for sevrel
days but I think he will
bee well in a fiew days
if nothing happens we
have had reigny weather
for the last two weeks and
it dont look much like
clearing off yet and you
know we have a nice time
it is a wet day and I
thougt I would write all

day I have five letters to
write to day I recived a
letter from Mag and Gip and
Mag C Bell and I must answ
er theym whil I have the
opatunity you must tell
Gin if she dont write to me
soon I will mark her off
my book she writes to the
rest of the Boys and I would
like to know why she cant
write to me too if she
dont soon write I will get
a [holt?] of her, Fanie I want
you to send me something to
eat I tell you I would like
to have some thing fro[m] home
I would like to have some
pies you know I dont like
pies a tall I never did you

we had for breckfast this
morning we had fried Duck
and hash and it was furstra=
te we all eat harty and
I dont know what we will
have for dinner yet we will
have something I exspect very
nice I exspect well I must
bring my letter to close
you must write soon and
give me all the news
