Brother Leonides
I have not heard from you
Since I left there
I wen to Lodi [1] & joined the
Lodi company & it broke up
I & a friend of mine started
to Verginia & met with
the 15th redgeiment & joined the
Wenona Stars We We started to
the com berline gap [2] but
recived orders to stop at
Knoxville Tenn We have a healthy
location heare & good water
There is six thousand t[r]oops stationed
heare We are expecting orders to
march to Manassis or Washington
It is thought that there will
be a battle fought at comberline
gap if there is we will go there
There is troops pasing heare every
day

I am looking for Pint & Whit
next tuseday I am not as
well as I though[t] I would
I persume you hav got that fifteen
dollars I left with Watson
nothing more at presant
