Dear farther I received your
letter and was glad to hear
from you all I am not very
well at this time we have had
so mutch marching to Do I
am Broke Down I am Just
a little poly we are on Bunkus
hill thay have no paid us
eny money yet never sence
we was below Richmond
I have no news to write you
at this more then I have bin
in two Battles I see the 30 va [1]
most eny time Joseph haslof
and Isom did not get hirt
in the fight nor Otway pound
never got hirt we exspect
to go to winchester thay say we
will take winter quarters at
Federburg I have nothing
