Biography: 

William T. Hart (b. ca. 1842) was the son of Robert J. and Margaret Hart. He enlisted as a private in Co. H, 47th Virginia Infantry in March 1862. He was taken prisoner at Falling Waters, Maryland on July 14, 1863 and confined at Point Lookout prison camp until he was paroled and exchanged in March 1864. His brother, Robert C. Hart, also served in the Confederate Army; both brothers survived the war. The Harts were a Spotsylvania County, Virginia farm family.
