Biography:
Robert J. Hart was the son of Robert J. and Margaret Hart. He enlisted in Co. F, 24th Virginia Cavalry in October 1863. His brother, William T. Hart (b. ca. 1842), also served in the Confederate Army; both brothers survived the war. The Harts were a Spotsylvania County, Virginia farm family.
