Dear farther and mother
I again pen you afew loins
to let you here from me This
leaves me well this morning
I hope theese few loins may
Reach you safely and find
you all well I wrote to you
some time ago to send me
some shoe thread and peaces
of uppers lether and a pegan
al and send me a pair of
[half?][ ?????] not [????]
[whither?] or not you [got?] [??]
letters so I thought I would
write a gain mr Robinson
wrote word that he was
comeing Down and ask him
to bring them to me if you
cant come and send me a
Bottle of brandy too if he will

he wont bring them come
Down as soon as time will
admit and bring me as manny
nessary eatables and my over
coat the is no news here we
are very close to the yankeys
I was on picket last night
I could here the yankey
when he spit I have not
herd from cush for some
time he was well the last
time I herd from him
and so was Joe so I will
Close by hoping to see you
soon I Tried to get a fur[low]
But it all was in vain
So good by tell I here from
you again I have not got a
letter for along time from home
