Corinth Mis March the 29th
Dear kind and
loving companion I am once more
permitted to drop you a few
lines I can say to you that
I am enjoying very good helth
at the present Brothers and
relatives is ginerally well Henry
is not very harty but he is
mending very well though we
have a rite smart of sickness
in our company the ones that
is worst off is giting furloes
to come home John Brister has
bin very Sick he will go
home we have a heap of men
here and a heap dies they die
so fast they have to put
two or three in one grave
to keep up with buriing of
them but we hant lost
but one out of our company
yet

I do truly hop ef this
comes to you it may find
you and connection all
enjoying a good portion our
lords blessing
I hant much
news to rite we have to work every
other day at throwing up
breast works we worked
yesterday and we have to work
again tomorow and it will go
purty tite with us for
tomorow is Sunday and I
hat[e] it bad enogh to have
to work in the week
but I would not mind it
ef I thought it would do us
any good but I think
about the time we git it
finished we will have to
leave it though they say the
yanks is not far off from here
they are on Tenesee river not far off

We have not received any
money yet and ef they dont
pay us off by the first
of April we are a going
to quit performing any duty
they are now due us fifty dolars
tel Willis hen Ses he will
send him that money when
we draw and I will send some
my self
We can hear
of a littl Scrummage around
here every two or thre days
it is supposed that the
South got very badly
whiped in verginia a few
days back
I want you to

trubblesom life and Tel

as they can and not wait for me
to rite
