this Neighborhood Expecily you Friends The health
of the people is good As for my Self I am getting
Better my Leg is still Drawed . Wishing this may find
you all well And plenty to Eat.. As for News I
have But Little. the Best is Elmira has two fine
Boys which was Borned the 19 of this month
there Names I will give you George William
And James David is there Names So you Can
Write to Davy to send the Dress on..Elmira is
as well as Could Be Expected You Cant Beat this
Jane you must Come over and see my Boys
they are hard to Beat. We have made one hundred
pounds of Shugar and the Shugar Water still Runing
as Big as Indian Creek if it was in one Strem
Write to me Wher Davy is I want to write to him
he wont write to me I Dont no where to Direct
a letter to him Come ofer and let the Boys Come

we ar all well as common
i am out of feed for my cows i am afraid
tha will all die it looks like grass never
will come when i got that foder from mrs
burtin i thought it would last untill
grass would come but the wether has bin
so bad that nothing can grow the boys
have finished clearing up that grass this evening
it is ready for you to plow if you could get home
and if you dont get to come home i dont know
what we will all do i no we will not get any
corn planted atall when the wethe gets
good i want to make my garden and clip
my sheep and i would like if you was
her to help me i dont know if i can stand
to do that or not my side is in such a bad
fix that i dont know what will become of me
David i want you to rite to Capt Vawter [2] and
see if he cant get you of[f] and let you come
home to stay awhile if riting and beging
would do any good i would beg while i hav breth
nothing more i remain your loving
