Satisfaction that I am permitted this morning
to write to you to let you know that I am
well as common at this time hopeing
that thees few lines may find you all
well and dooing well I can inform
you that we have had a good rest
Spell sense we come heare I have nothing
Strange to write to you at this time more
than I heaird that Jenkins has gond to
point plesant tell philis that I saw
John the other day and Staid all night
with him and he was well and had
been well the hole trip and all the
rest of the boys was well. James Taylor
has got the best horse in the campany
he is worth 300 dollars. I have not recieved
neary letter from you sense the one that
you rote the 6 th of sept which stated
that you was all well as common which
I was glad to heair you must write soon
doo not fail we are fortifying heair
if you cold come out and fetch a teem
and load of butter chees and brandy and such truck
and get you a load of Salt I think you
wold doo well as Salt is plenty heair and is
not selling for more than $100 per bushell we
wold like to see you and if you doo come
iwold bee glad iff you wold fetch me a pair
of pants and and a pair of socks and a pare
of drawers and William 2 pair of pants
and 1 pare socks John

Dear wife it is with greait satisfaction
that I imbrace the presant opportunity
of droping you a few lines to inform you
that I am well at this time hopeing
when they come to hand they may find
you and the children well and dooing
well I can inform you that I have swaped
places with Allen Jennings and will
go to that company next Tusday
This sunday the 28 th of sept
Allen said that you was all well when
he left home I want you to write auften
doo not fail tell philis that I recieved
hir kind letter and red it with greait
satisfaction and pleasure and that
I wish to bee rememebered to hir and
all the rest of my sisters and brother
so no more at this time
but still remain your affectionate
