Camp Near Chester
my Dear wife I hav once more
seated my self to let you heir
from me this leaves me well at this
time and I hope when theas few
lines Reach you tha may fine
you and all enjoyen the same grate
Blessin well I hav not much nues to
write to you I Receive your letter som
five days ago But I hav not had
the Chance of writen to you we
war Cauld off the day that iI got
your letter we haid to march a Bout
too miles down on the lines we war
sent down as a Reserve while the
other trops Charge the yanke picket
line our trops Charge the yan
ke pickets and drove them Back
and then we was kept thar to
serpote the lines we war sent
out on pickeit too nits and one
day in the Rain we was sent out
on sunday nite on picket and

well now I am harter than I ever
