Camp near Tupulo Miss June the 22th

Dear Sisters I take my pen in
to drop you a few lines to let you now that I am
well at this time for which I am thank
full to god for his mercy hoping these
lines will come to hand in due time and
find you all in good health I heard father
Decator & Bunch was sick and iam anxious
to here from them agane yet iam inhops
they ar Better I have no news to write
now more then of sick in camp is improving
in health alitle I hope the time is not
for distant when the war End and then
I can tel you all the particulars as far
as can recollect them if what I here is
the truth that time is clost at hand I
here they ar inlisting regular soldiers
here in this army at Cupulo for 7 years giving
them $70 Bounty and furlowing them home
untill peace is made if that is true
piece is in cite the Big men of the
south tel Hugh to be shure to Bring
me apair of shoes when he comes he had
Better get them from Mr [Ench?] for
he mey miss them at columbus iwill com
to a clos fr now cass is awatting on me an
I have not time to write any more
