Biography: 

William B. Honnoll (b. ca. 1822) was the son of Sarah Jane (b. ca. 1802) and Robert Honnell (b. ca. 1798). He, along with his brother Hugh L. (b. ca. 1826), served as sergeants in the “Caledonia Rifles,” Co. D, 24th Mississippi Infantry. William was captured during Bragg’s Kentucky campaign in the Fall of 1862, exchanged in January 1863, and died of wounds in a Macon, Georgia hospital on September 14, 1864. The Honnoll family lived in Monroe County, Mississippi.
