It is a very nice Pleasant
day here and all were busy
writing I thought I would
write you a few lines
I feel tolerable well at
presant and hope you are
all the same I have got in
my mess seven or eight of the
38 Ind boys from where
Geo Hinds lives they were
telling me all about him
and <???> They are a
fine set of Boys I would
rather be here in Camp
than at the Hospital we
get more to eat here than
we did at the hospital I
wrote to you the other day and
shall expect to have a letter

from you tomorrow there are
boys from all the Regmt in
the service the boys go out
a foraging here every day
and bring in corn Potatoes
Cabbage Peaches and apples
I have not been out yet
but I am not good on a walk
but I will say it some day
before long se as to keep my
hands in for if I dont I
will get out of practice. The
excitment has all subsided
here about being attacked we
git papers here every day and
git the news in General <Pur gos?>
now Gen Smith I see is after
morgan he is the man for to
send after Old morgan for he
will follow him untill he
comes up to him Smith was
with us when we had the
fight with morgan we had a
