I got your letter to day and
was glad to hear from you. I am not to say
well am Verry Sick I have the jaundice and am
pretty yellow but getting better it dont make a
fellow Sick but he feels mean enough to steal from
a widdows blind pig we all are in the best of spirits
about the glorious Victories in Ind the Rebs are
catching particular fits Little Mac is the man
Yet and all his old Solders glows in his prom
Let abolition Hords & polititions do there best and
<Gruelus?> all combined He has Hundreds of
thousands of brave Soldiers on his Side Yet and
follow him to victory We are under Marching
orders 100 Rounds of Cartriges and five days grub
to be ready at a moments notice <Hurah?> for the
field again where Cannon rore & muskets Rattle
and death or glory won You had not Send
the things go you spoke of I can get good butter for
25 to 35 cts per lb and plenty of peaches besides it
is hard to tell to day where we wil be tomorrow
We have a splendid Camp here and a splendid

But we are Soldiering now and Cant Stay for
enjoyment till the foe is druve from the land
I thank tha girls for their compliments & send
My love & will kiss all pretty ones when I get
Home would marry all but Uncle Sam wont allow it
& I am tend to be a law abiding Citizen
We dont think we have the Rebs licked Yet but in a
fair way to do it handsomely. I wil Send $41. to
Uncle as soon as I get an opportunity to Express it
Care G Wilson Logansport I have bene unwell and
spent a pretty good amount for delicacies and in time
to do so for many days a fellow <can?> <give?> if he gets Killed
or Starves to death because he has nothing he can Eat
& a fellow can Spend $5. and then not get much
Tell Grandmother to Keep in good spirits for I am all
Right yet as Soon as you hear of the war being over
You may begin to fat a Turky and goose apig & a

Love to Uncle Aunt and the children. does John want
to go to war if he does tell him he had better stay at home
