A.S. Harrill Letters

Anthody Steet Harrill (1820-1886) was a Rutherford County, North Carolina farmer. He served as a private in Co. I, 1st North Carolina Cavalry. He was married to Hannah McDaniel Harrill (b. 1828), also a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. They were married on February 16, 1850 in Ellenboro, Rutherford County, NC, and had nine children: Zachariah Dobbins (b.1851), Drury Dobbins (b.1852), Arrie? (b. ca. 1855), Biddy (b. 1856), Martha Emmeline (b.1857), Jesse Alexander (b. 1860), Anthony? Street (b. 1864), George Washington (b. 1866), and William David (b. 1867). All the children except Arrie are listed in the 1870 census.
