Richmond Va Septembr 11th
Dear
beloved Brother & Sister it is with great
pleasure that I seat myself this morning to
write you a few lines I have just read
your kind letter and I was glad to here
from you and to here that you was all
well as to myself I am not well I
have got the Measels but they are a getting
well as fast as they can I can go about
any where I please I have been staying
at a private house and I will stay here
another week or so you said in your
letter that you wanted to here from
William Hale he has had the Measels
but is a getting better Brother has got
the measels here he is a getting better
and I think will be well in a few
days I belong to Capt Reynolds Brother
came here and belong to it and Capt
Reynold gave Capt McReae to men
for me I must bring my short letter
to a close by sending my best respects
to all inquiring friends nuthing more
atpresent I affectionate
