Dear
Brother and Sister I seat
myself this mourning to
write you a few lines
to let you now that I
am well at this time
and hope that if this
reaches you it will find
you all well and doing
well I Received your
kind letter yesterday and
was glad to here from
you I have received two
letters from you since
I have rote to you
I have neglected to
write to our post master

has been Court martialed
and has had his trial
about noe sending letters
on I am in hopes that
you will forgive me
for not writing to you
Brother is a going home
and he said he would
go by your house and
see you and give you
this letter I must
come to a close by
send ing my best
respects to Joseph I seen
him in Richmond but
I did not get to talk
to him any I Remain
your affectionate Brother
until death
