my Deare wife I take this time
to anser the very Kind leter I rese
ved to day of the 24 instant and
was truly glad to heare form you
and to heare that you and the chil
dren was well and am glad that
I Can say to you that this leves
me well and I do hope they will
rech you and find you and the
children all well my deare mat
we have orders to Co[o]ck to day
rashins and so you se that we
are on the eve of a move thowgh
I do not thinke we will go fare
we may have a fight Soon mat
pray that if we do that the good
lorde may bring me throwght safe
mat my Deare and beloved wife
I would give all that I have in
the world to be with you and
the children mat it would
be a grat pleasure to me well
mat I got yours and Susys flowrs
and put them in my testament
tell Susly that I think she is

and tell her that I will keepe it

Jass is a litle poley to day from Cold
brother bill is up heare now his fam

was vaxinated this morning as thare
is some Cases of smallpox about da[l]ton
