Dear brother I Seat my self eavning to
drop you a few lines to let you now that
I am in thae land of the liveing I have
nothing of importance to write I writ
mearly in anseer to your of the 27 ultimo I now
jump up to see fight be tween Green
of Co g and Gelispy of our co in whch
Gerlespy wailed him like the Devil and that
is all we didnot enjoy Christmas verry
well for it was too cold but we enjoyed
the box finely. Wm I want you to stay at
home untill you be come old enough
and if you do leave Mother and come in
the aervice before you become old enough you
will repent the day you did it the election
come off to day Cousing J. N. Pittman run
verry Slow hear Wink Cosby and Ben Willson
have gone to Walkers Co. tell Mary to write
me a letter and Jack to do so too write me
me all the news excuse bad writing
and spelling give my respects to the famely
and share the same your self direct to Dalton
