Dear wife i got a letter from
you to wich was dated the 24 of
may an it found me well an i
hope this letter may find you an the
children in the best of health
i was in the fight but did not
git hurt we are looking for a
nuther one to day an if i git in
it i hope i will Come out
safe tell all the folks howdy for
me an tell them to rite to me

to day an he was well i got the
letter that you rote to me a bout
bob now i must Close for
