Richmond. va
Deare wife I will write you
a few lins to let you no that
I am well and I hope that
this letter may find you
and all the rest the Same
I have nothing new to write
to you at this time I wrote
you a letter when I was at
welldon an we left the
same day and Ed got to us
that day, we are in camps
Six miles north east of
richmond va and we will go
next to Pincelvania So tha
Say but i dont no Some Say
that we will go to vixburg

we got the wetest yesturday
that we ever was in in our
lives it rained three hours
jest as hard as it could Pore
tell hester and immer and
babe that I will make them a ring
when i get Settle down tell
bin that I got his letter on
4 of this month and I was
glad to heare from him
I will have to close give
my love to youre folks and
to mine I remain youre
