Dear wife I am At Richmand at this
time i got hear last nite an i am a going
to my company to morrow i heard from
it too weaks a go it was in a fight
an only one got wounded that day it
was B..L Skinner an tha have ben
in fore or five fights sence that at
Sharps burgh but i dont no how
tha Came out i Saw Some of the 48
Geor Regt wounded a going home but
tha Could not tell me eny thing about
Ned i am well at this time an i hope
to god this letter may find you an all
the rest in good health tell pappy
an mamy an all the rest howdy
for my god bless you all is my
prears you all must pray for me
an pray to god for me to git back
there is no chance for me to come
tell i go to the Compny i have not
