hear that you all was well it foun
me wel l i was in the Battlefield
in line of Battle when i got it an
the Shell an balls was falling all
round me there was Some of our
Regt got wounded but we was not
engageed in the fight we lay on the
Battle field 3 days an nites our
Brigade was in the Pits all nite
monday nite an son next
morning the yankees advanced
on us an got in one hundred
yds of us an holard to us not
to fier an tha an our men met
an talk all day an that nite
tha all left the yankees lost 400
