My dear Wife i got the letter that
you an fany wrote to me an i was
Glad to hear that you both Was Well
this leaves me in good health an i
hope that this letter may find you
the same dear Wife i have no
news to Write to you at this time only
the Weather is verry Cold at this time
but that is nothing new to me for
it has ben Cold all the time my dear
i Wrote to you that i Was going to get
a furlow to go to richmond after my
Box but i got it to day an all of
my things was good but the Patatoe
Pone it was Spoilt all of Potatoes
Was nearly Spoilt tell youre Paw
an old Mamy kitty that i thank
them for the Sausedge that tha Sent
to me an tell Ben that i thank him
too you must give my love to all of
my folks an tell them that i Want
to see them i will Close by saying
i still remain youre loveing husband
