My Deare wife I
will write you a few lins to let
you no that I am well and I
do hope to our heavenly father
that this letter may find you
all the same my Dear I have
nothing new to write at this
time I would like to see you
and the little baby but I
dont know that i ever will
on this irth but I want you
an it to prepair to meat
me in heaven I have fersaken
the ways of this world and I
am a triing to follow God I have
joined the baptis Churtch and
I will be baptiseed to morrow
if nothing happens Give my
love to all and receive the
grates potion for youre Selfe

you got the letter that I sent
by Grover let me no the
babys name Some of them
rote it to me but I coul
not make out the middle
name tell fanny howdy for me
