Wilmington N.C July 13
My Deare wife I
will write you a few lins to let you
no that i am well and I hope to
god that this letter may find you
and all the rest the Same my Deare
I have nothing new to write to
you at this time only we are
in three hundred miles of home
we went to Richmond and did
not Stay but 3 days before
we Started to Charlston South
Carolina but we are Stoped at
Wilmington too of our Regts
went on to Charlston the 6th and
19th went on but our Regt and 27
an 23 are all heare we will go on
if tha nead us I want to get a
letter from you verry bad for I
have not had one from you Sence
Mary left Give my love to all
