Deare wife I will write you a few lins
to let you no that I am well and I hope
this letter may find you and the babe
the Same deare wife I have no news to
write to you as I no of all of the
boys is geting a long fine and
tha are all Satisfied I beleave for
tha are a going home ever now an
then tha get boys in there
place and I wish I could get some
body to Stay in my place a while
for I want to go home the worst
that I ever did in my life
but if I cant get to go home
[I?] we have to stay but I want
to See my baby if eny body

will come and Stay a while
for me you must let me no
in youre next letter there is
no danger I think for i had
reather Stay heare than eny
place that I have bin in sence
the war give my love to all
and tell them that I want
to See them the worst Sort
I will close by saying I
hope to get a letter from
you soon god bless you my
