My Deare wife I got youre
kind letter to day that was
wrote 6 and I was glad to heare
from you all but sorry to heare
that Pa and Jim was sick
I hope god will Restore there
health to them a gain this
leaves me well and when this
comes to hand i hope it may
find you all well I have nothing
new to write to you only one
of the 27 ga got one of his
arms Shot off last nite
accidently but that is nothing
new to see men shot we
heare that the yanks are going
to atact us to nite but I
dont beleave it but if tha
do I entind to give them the
best in my Shop you must
give my love to all of my
folks and tell youre ma and
Pa howdy for me tell them

we was when Pa come to
see us 2 miles down on
Stone ow river
