My Deare wife I will
write
you a few lins to inform
you that I am well and I
hope when this comes to
hand it may find you an
the baby the same my deare
I have nothing new to write
to you at this time only the
weather is verry pleasant
at preasant and we have
had 2 frosts this season

my deare you wanted to no
what me and henry little
fell out a bout nothing
only we cant agree on
an argument he allways
wants to be contrary
a bout every thing
my deare I dont expect
to write much for I dont
feel like writeing for I
was up all nite last nite
on picket at Fort Johnson
you must let me no
when mr Wells is going

so that I can be looking
for him tell him that I
say I wish he would come
and take my place so
that I could gow home an
see you all but if I never
get to see you all in this
life I hope we all will
meet in heaven where
we will nothing of wars
an parteing from each oth
er it is a most time
for drill and I will have
