My Dear Wife I will drop you
a few lins to let you no how I am
geting on I am doing verry well
I beleave my foot dont give me
much pane I hope this may find
you all well and doing well my
dear mattie I am going before the
Bord day after tomorrow to see if
tha will give me a furlough or
not I dont think I will get
one for there was a good meney
went before it yesterdy and did
not get furloughs tha ort to
give me one wheather tha do
or not if tha dont give me one
I dont expect to do much
more dewty for a man cant go
home when he is well and so
tha ort to let him go wen he
is wounded you must give my
love to all of the folks and to
father and mother an
tell them that I will write
to them when I get some
paper good by mattie my
