form you that I landed
hear safe we ar Jest lazing
hear eating and doin noth
ing we get a plenty to
eat so far I havent eny
nues to rite to you yet
our captain did not cum
with us he will gave the
conscript ofiser a list of
the men that did stay
at home and not report or
cum and then he will cum
i recievd four letters yestoday
dated May the 2-5-3-25
that you sent to vicksbu
they say that t[h]ey ar
looking for a big fight
at chattanooga we ar
going I suppose to go back

near the stone mountain
to strike camp
I got to ride when I please
to athens and then a
passenger train all the
way the 16 Batalion
is cut if i recon so that
they canno[t] get a letter
I cannot hear form them
The Captain ses that
he will get me a
transfer if he can
tho I dont want it
til I am exchanged
So I will close I am well
and I hope these will
find you likewise
I will rite a gain in a
Fiew days so far well
