Dear wife I take my seat this morning
to rite you a fiew lines to let you no
that I am well and harty and I hope those
fiew lines will reach you and find
you injoying the same like blessing

in a fiew days it is all the pleasure
[I?] sea is to read and rite Letters
I have nothing [in?]pota[n]nt to rite at this
time B [W?] Catlett [????] to sea me
the other day he is well and [sinds?] his
respects to you and said tell you to

letter from home in a long time
and is very anxous to hear from his folks

desolate condition and may god hasten the
