June 14th 1864
Dear sister Caroline
I will write
to you I received your kind note
I was glad to hear from you I
am well and hope those lines will
find you all well I havent much
write to you I commenced writing
to sister Mary C some days a go
and kept wating for some impor[u?]
niws I untell now I will send
it I gave all the news that I had
in that only I can tell you that
the wheet crop is shorter than when
I first wrote the people say that
the sead wont be made and nothing
looks well but the gardens they
look well write to me as soon as
you can tele Sister Vina Catlett
that I send her my best love and
respects and I will write to her befare
long I would like to hear from her
and the little baby tell her to write
to me

friends I cant name all out seperate
but I think as much of them all
as if I was to name them evry one
I have been laying off to write
To sister Sunter and family for
I loved them every one but I have
never wrote to them yet but
I ask you to gave them my love
and respects the first chance
