Dear cousen Mit
it is with
pleasure that I Seat my self to
write you a few lines to let you
know that I am well at this time
and hope those few lines may find
you enjoying the good blessings cousen
I have wrote you too letters since
you wrote to me I hope you will
not delay writing to me this time
uncle James is encamped Just over the
River he was over here yesturday and
I was glad to see him he said that
all was well when he left home
I want to get pass and go over
to weldon wher he is encamped and
see them all cousen I want to see
you all worse than I ever did in my
life I am going to try and get a
Furlough in a short time as they
are furloughing now cousen if I do come
home I would like to come by and
you but I dont see any chance for they
dont give but 7 days furlough and
I cant come you must write
soon and let me know whare
cousen fuller is I would like to
hear from him now you must
tell cousen fuller to write to me
and let me know how he gets
on I you may tell him that we
have a hard time of it here

we have a heap of duty to do
here we have to drill 2 times a
day ever morning camp drill ever ev
ening Batl drill I have nothing
particular to write this time
if I could just be at home today
and go to preaching I could see
my tildy Oh that I could
see her cousen I am afriad we
will never see the pleasure that
we have seen together but I
hope we will and more that
we ever did see cousen if I do
come home you may know that
I am going to fly around abuut
give my respects to Miss parthania
and all the rest of the young
ladees give my love to aunt mary
family tell them howdy
for me I recon I have wrote
enoughf for this time So I will
close by saying write soon to
