Dear father & mother Brother & Sister I Seat my
Self to drop you a fu lines to inform you that I
am well truly hopeing thes fu lines may find
you all well and doing well I have nothing new
to Write at presant We are in tolable good Quarters
I Can tell you who I am messing With B F Wood

Enoch We are all Well and harty we dont
git mutch to eat we are gitting one pound of meal
and two ouncs of meat and some times a little
Suger and coffee & Some times a little Rice you
Can guess what we have your Self I Beleav all
things is still with us at presant But I dont
no how long it will be the case for it is genarley
Beleaved that We Will Start to mariland &
pennsylvania But I am not verry sirtin that
we will all git thare for thare is a heep that
swars thay will never go thare in the World
But I Recon thay Will all doo aney thing
that Old Jeff Davis wants them to doo
But I fear that the confedercy will go up the
Spout this summer all the compay is wel
