it is with more than pleasure
That I imbrace my Self with the prsant
opertunity of droping you afew lines to let
you hear from me I am well at presant
and doing as wel as you Could expect
of apoor Solegier like my self and I hope
those few lines may find you wel and
doing wel farther I have nothing to write
worth your attention Evry thing is going on
smoothly so far as I no you no I suppose
as wel as I can tel you how hour army
is mooveing I hope that this cruil war
wil soon end I think thare is abrite
Prospect of peace I think that Evry
thing bide fair I hope the time will
Soon come when the clattering of small
arms and the Roaring of canon and bum
Shells will be seast may god grant
us the privalig of comeing hom onst
more in peace to injoy the Sweet privalige
of home and its surrounding beauties onst

fourth letter and have not Recievd no
answer from you I want you to write
