Camp Near Buckners neck
Dear wife i seat my self to
drope you a few lines to in
forme you that i am not
well i am not as well as
i was when i home but
i hope those few lines may
reach and find you well i
got those things that you
sent by the capt and i was
very glad of them i dident
send them things that i
rote that i wod by tom
lane i sent you ten dollars
by W B plear I told him
to give it to dick savage
i want you to rite to me if
you git it or not i will
draw in a day or too and

more by the first chance
i want you to take care
of your self and do the
best you can
