dear husban I sete my self down
to rite you a fue lines lines to let
you no that I am well hopin
that those fue lines may rech
and find you in joyen the
same good blesings dear husban
i receved your kind letter on
the 20 day and was glad to hir
from you dear husban I have
no neas of impornce to rite
to you only I want to see
you veary bad the worst I ever
did in my life dear husban
i heard that you had a hard
fite at fredricks burg and
it greved me veary bad i
never in dured so much oneasness
in my life before and I want
to hir from you the worst
in the world I have not
bin satafid in my mind

that I receved was rote the 6
and mailed the 16 dear husban
when you rite to me give me
the lates neas you can I cant
git a late letter from you
and dear husban I want to no
if you receved the letter that
i seant by the captin i
cared it to Bur gaw my self
and you never rote whether
you receved it or not and
i want to no if you did or
not and dear husban I want
you to rite to me ever weke
fore I do rite to you every weke
this is the fift letter that i
have sent you and receved
no ancer only this one note
the 6 dear husban I hear a
grat cannadin [???] wilamington

that inglent and france
has fell out and air goin
to fite one nother I have not
hirn from the 59 regiment
tha had not got back to
camp but none of my brothers
did not go but I hear that
thare air a fiting thear a gain
but I dont think it is so
i excpects father will start
to [snow?] hill before long
as soon as he gits dun
plantin and he will soon
be dun plantin dear
husban I shall soon be ready
to come to see you I shall
come as soon as I git ready
give my love to your brother
Charly and tell him i
want to see him bad

so I must come to a close by
sain that richard savage
and famly gives thear love
to you and sister Margreat
gives hir love to you and
sister Caroline gives hir
love to you and all so to your
brother Charley rite soon
as you receve this and fail
not nothen more at presant
only I hope that god may
bles you and spear you to
return home a gain well and
harty this is the prais of your
